The Lealman Fire District is proud to offer you the opportunity to become better prepared for disasters in your community and the opportunity to join a great program! You are invited to join us on January 22nd and 23rd for the Community Emergency Response Team Basic Course!

This course is offered free of charge and will be held in the Training Room at Fire Station #18 located at 4360 55th Avenue North, 33714.

The Basic Course is scheduled for Friday the 22nd from 6:30pm until 9:30pm and on Saturday the 23rd from 8:30am until 6:30pm. Lunch will be provided.

Upon successful completion of the Basic Course, participants will have the opportunity of joining the Lealman Fire District’s CERT Program and will receive CERT equipment to better prepare for responding to disasters in their community.

We have the OK to go with field day at our regular location. The location I found out today is called the “Old Ferry Landing” by the Rangers and staff.  If you have never participated in a “Field Day” you should come out and maybe you will get hooked. We start setting up at 8:00 AM Saturday and operate from noon to noon Sunday.  I received one reply as to who is going. We are limited to forty people so get your reservations in.

Hello to all my fellow Ham Radio friends:

I hope that this message finds everyone in well times. Before I go on, I did not check with anyone before I sent this out and it is not official or any of that crap… well you guys know what I mean. Next Thursday, December 10th is going to be our final BIFFS FOR 2009. I WOULD LOVE IF ALL COULD SHOW… it would be great to be together so we can celebrate all of our triumphs and our loses this year. Being still fairly new to the HAM community it really would be great to have this last one with you all.

No need for gifts to exchange or secret Santa’s, just bring a great attitude and your gratitude for what you have. I care for each and everyone of you and I really do hope to see you all there. Oh yeah I forgot to mention… On December 10 it will only be 9 MORE DAYS UNTIL SOME OF OUR GROUP VENTURES TO THE KEYS… LET’S SEE THEM OFF WITH A BANG!!!
